Characteristics of Eku 50 Glass system
Type of system Thermal break aluminium system for mullion and transom curtain walls. Applications The system is made from a mullion and transom grid: the last one are fixed horizontally to the mullions with specific junction and cooperate with them to the containment of both opaque and transparent panelling. There are particular fitting and profiles engineered to optimize the drainage capacity and the thermal performance of the structure. t's possible to use casement an tilt and turn openings achievable with Eku 60 TT and Eku 80 TT series, or top hung openings done with dedicated semi-structured or mechanical retain profiles. Basic dimensions Mullion cross-section: 50 mm Transom cross-section: 50 mm Mullion depth: 167 mm Total mullion encumbrance for the structure: 225 mm (maximum value) Transom depth: 70,5 mm Casement opening cross-section: 60 - 74 mm Top hung opening cross-section: 95 mm Maximum width for glass or panel for fixed frame: 41 mm Maximum width for glass or panel for openable wing: 48 mm Insulation insets dimensions: 7 - 14 - 17 mm Fittings Standard dimensions according to the 14-18 mm air space for casement and tilt and turn opening; other fittings dedicated. Frames thermal trasmittance Uf = 1,4 - 2,56 W/m2K
