Operating functions are the same as those for standard Eku door and window fittings.
The device is activated by normal opening or closing of the fitting, using the rotation of the casement bolt and subsequent movement of the internal rod. The system requires no complicated operations, there are no buttons to press and no codes to insert!
1) When the casement window is closed and the casement bolt in a vertical position pointing downwards, the device is activated and ready to send out a warning alarm should there be any attempt to tamper with or open the fitting. Once activated the alarm will sound uninterruptedly for approximately sixty seconds, during which time the alarm may not be turned off. Only following this, may the device be deactivated, by carrying out a simple operation.
2) When the casement window is opened during regular normal use, with the casement bolt in a horizontal position, the device is deactivated and the alarm cannot go off.
3) When the casement window is tilted and the casement bolt in vertical position pointing upwards, the device is activated and ready to send out a warning alarm should there be any attempt to tamper with or open the fitting. Once activated the alarm will sound uninterruptedly for approximately sixty seconds, during which time the alarm may not be turned off. Only following this may the device be deactivated, by carrying out a simple operation.
