Beauty and protection. Eku shutters make the home safer and add a touch of elegance
Eku Oscuranti (blinds and shutters) are made with aluminium profiles allowing the installation of shutters, blinds and roller blinds for external use.
Eku blinds, shutters and shades allow users to adjust the amount of light or shade inside the home, thus improving the internal climate, environment and acoustics. They also protect the home from any nosy neighbours, provide a pleasant sense of cosy privacy and, when closed, improve the safety and security of the home. A noble metal such as aluminium is certainly a winning choice when it comes to producing blinds, shutters and shades, as it can faithfully reproduce both the shapes and colours of traditional classic wooden shutters and blinds. Furthermore, it also offers enormous advantages in terms of its robustness, resistance to heavy workloads, its inalterability over time and the almost total lack of maintenance required. Such features are essential when we are referring to a product continually subject to climatic changes and conditions. The constant tiring and demanding work required by traditional wooden products will be a distant memory – a thing of the past! The use of the Eku Oscuranti series of blinds and shutters guarantees a constant increase in thermal protection and insulation, with a 20% reduction in heat transmission rates due to the coupling of blind or shutter with the fitting and helps contribute to containing, and thereby respecting, heat transmission rate limits as stipulated by current Italian legislation governing construction industry energy-saving (Law decree.192, 2005 and Law. 311, 2006). Improvements to thermal performance also allow significant energy-saving.
Replacing an old shutter unit with a new closing device with improved performance can reduce by as much as 100 euros your heating bill for each square metre of glass. Furthermore, it is also possible to take advantage of state incentives for energy-saving improvements to existing buildings, including 55% tax relief, introduced in 2007 and extended by the 2008 Finance Bill for years 2008-2010.
