A perfect fit.
A brief example to explain how a modern Eku fitting is assembled, how it works and what its basic components include. The picture shows the side section of the Eku 60 TT series and typical casement opening products with thermal break.
1) Double-glazing (insulation by two glass panes): double glazing with low-emission film improves heat and sound-proofing performance. 2) Buffered glazing: allowing energy-saving. 3) Spring windows: facilitate glass mounting and the removal of door and window fittings. 4) Internal frame alignment bracket: necessary in order to provide support for mechanical parts when assembling corner parts for door and window fittings. 5) Internal sound and dust insulating seal: improves soundproofing performance and prevents dust from entering the local environment. 6) Hinge with overtopping profile: enables the fitting to be opened by providing a solid support for both the external frame and casement. 7) Internal frame alignment bracket: provides the required mechanical seal when assembling corner parts for door and window fittings. 8) Rapid-block to secure the frame to brickwork: simplifies operations when fitting the frame to masonry. The frame can be easily adjusted to compensate for any wall angle irregularities or deviations. 9) Wall mount sealing: compensates for any wall angle irregularities or deviations. 10) Shaped sealing bars for casement and frame: an essential part of the “thermal break”. Made from glass fibre (25%) reinforced polyamide, the bars significantly reduce heat transmission from inside to outside the door or window fitting, and guarantee excellent mechanical strength. 11) External frame alignment bracket: provides the required mechanical seal when assembling corner parts for door and window fittings. 12) Extraction channels for water drainage: narrow channels discharge water collected in the zone via small open slots in the window profile. 13) External frame flap alignment bracket: provides the required mechanical seal when assembling corner parts for door and window fittings. 14) Open joint, air and water seal: air and water-tight sealing action is provided by the pressure in the chamber between the frame and the casement; air entering from outside generates additional thrust to the normal elastic force supplied by the seal. This action significantly improves the air and water sealing capacity of the door or window fitting. 15) External casement alignment bracket: provides the required mechanical seal when assembling corner parts for door and window fittings. 16) External casement flap alignment bracket: provides the required mechanical seal when assembling corner parts for door and window fittings.
