The Eku Perfektion Slide with a reduced threshold, having been recently subjected to water-air-wind resistance tests, has improved the previous performance achieved by the system, reaching Class 9A.
Sample tested in the experimental setup
Eku Perfektion Slide is one of our flagship products, a sliding system that resolves the problem of limited wall space, opening our houses onto the outer world.
The minimal profiles and the possibility of large glazed areas allow the maximum luminosity, creating a spacious and comfortable living environment. The recognition that this system is receiving, also in foreign markets, is encouraging us to constantly improve it.
In a past news, we presented the new reduced threshold, only 25mm high, which offers a very limited obstruction, the channel where the carriages run being only 9mm high. For this reason a new drainage system had to be designed and tested.
The previous air permeability and wind load resistance classes of the system have been confirmed, while the water tightness has been improved. Class 9A was in fact obtained, the window not showing water infiltrations up to 750 Pa, which corresponds to a wind force of circa 126 km/h.
In summary the test results were:
- Air permeability: Class 4
- Water tightness: Class 9A (750 Pa infiltration)
- Wind load resistance: Class C4
